News India Live, Digital Desk: Indian Railways is bringing a big change for its passengers, which will directly affect congestion and make Tatkal ticket booking more transparent. From the coming 15 July (as per the old context), the Railways has implemented an important rule for booking online Tatkal tickets – now without Aadhaar verification and OTP tickets will not be available. With this step, the objective of the railway is to curb the black marketing of tickets and ensure that the needy passengers can get tickets in emergency. The Ministry of Railway is the goal that there is no unauthorized passenger in any coach of the train in the coming time, especially those who travel without tickets or waiting tickets to make the boxes firm. This new rule will be helpful in reducing congestion especially in general and general coaches. The Aadhaar verification process will be extremely straight: When booking Tatkal tickets, you have to certify your Aadhaar number through OTP or fingerprint scan. Once the verification is successful, you will be able to complete the ticket booking process. This will lead to a tough attack on fake booking through ticket brokers and fake identity cards. Railways hopes that this system will increase the possibility of getting tickets for real passengers, especially when they have to travel in the last minute. With these rules, the Railways have taken another passenger-interest step. Now passengers will be able to book tickets for vacant seats exactly 30 minutes before the departure of the train. This feature will be especially beneficial for travelers who are going on an emergency journey, or those who have to decide to travel in the last minute. This means that the seats that remain vacant till half an hour before the train are left will be made available for sale again under the ‘Current Booking’ window. This rule will bring transparency in the railway and will give passengers a more convenient travel experience, which will also control unnecessary crowd in the train.
