  • Put a red cloth on a post and install the idol of Kaal Bhairav and Shiva on it.
  • Worship Shiva ji and apply white sandalwood tilak to Kaal Bhairav.
  • Offer fruits, sweets and other enjoyments.
  • Perform Aarti and take a pledge to fast.
  • Close the worship by offering water to the Sun God.
  • It is considered auspicious to feed a black dog on the day of Kalashtami.

Remedy (upay)-

  • In the evening, light mustard oil lamp should be lit in front of Shiva ji.
  • In the evening, anoint the Shivling with sugarcane juice.
  • Offer Jalebi to Bhairav on this day
  • Serve black dogs on this day and feed them bread.
