These services will link the city with Shegaon, Vadodara, Secunderabad, and Belagavitaking the total number of Vande Bharat trains operating from Pune to six. This development comes as a significant push to transform rail travel for Punekars with shorter journeys and upgraded amenities.

Indian Railways is also considering a sleeper variant of the Vande Bharat Express between Pune and Nagpura much-needed development that could drastically improve overnight travel for business, education, and tourism between the two major cities in Maharashtra.
