New Delhi: AI Appreciation Day is being marked today, July 16, as a way to recognise the role artificial intelligence plays in our lives. From education and entertainment to visas and beauty, AI is quietly reshaping how industries operate behind the scenes. It’s not just about flashy tools anymore. It’s also about how AI is being used to bridge old gaps, push efficiency, and create better user experiences.
Sure, here’s the revised version of that line:

Industry leaders tell us how AI is evolving, where it’s being used the most, and what it means for sectors like gaming, payments, beauty, travel, and education. Here’s what they had to say.

From banking to BharatGPT: Conversational AI goes mainstream

Ankush Sabharwal, Founder and CEO of CoRover, said, “AI is revolutionizing industries globally by enabling highly personalized interactions, automating complex processes, and delivering data-driven insights with unprecedented accuracy.” He added that sectors like healthcare, finance, travel, and tourism are seeing massive gains in operational efficiency and predictive insights.

Sabharwal noted how voice-enabled conversational AI is already being used to drive sales and automate customer support. “This is not just the future, it’s already happening,” he said, explaining how speech-to-text and text-to-speech tools are improving human-like communication across languages.

Gaming gets smarter, safer

Parth Chadha, Co-Founder and CEO of STAN, pointed out how AI is no longer just another part of game design. “Artificial intelligence offers an immersive, interactive, and intelligent gameplay experience,” he said. STAN is using AI for game mechanics and content moderation. “AI ensures a safe, inclusive, and positive community for all users.”

Beauty tech blends emotion and algorithms

In the beauty industry, Deepak Gupta of Style Lounge believes AI is doing more than just automating recommendations. “Artificial intelligence is not just about algorithms and data,” he said. “It is like reimagining human experiences.”

He called AI the “invisible bridge” between tech and self-expression, helping the beauty world offer hyper-personalised services that once seemed impossible.

AI helps learners grow, not just pass exams

Jitendra Kumar, CTO at Simplilearn, talked about how AI is changing upskilling. “We view AI as a powerful enabler of human potential,” he said. The company uses AI to build personalised, on-demand learning platforms.

Their in-house tool, Simplimentor, is an AI-powered career coach that helps learners not just switch careers, but also grow within their roles. “The true value of AI lies in how well it serves human growth,” Kumar said.

AI transforms visa processing at BLS International

Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Partner at BLS International, shared how AI is helping with document verification, eligibility checks, and biometrics during visa processing. “AI helps us create seamless, transparent, and scalable solutions,” he said.

The company has already rolled out facial biometric verification and liveness detection to catch fraud early. “Our efforts are centred on building secure, efficient, and applicant-friendly systems,” Aggarwal added.

SMEs finally get a fair shot

At Mintoak, CEO Raman Khanduja sees AI helping small businesses get the support they’ve long missed. “For a long time, SMEs were financially excluded not by intent but because traditional channels failed to serve them,” he said.

Now, AI-powered payment platforms are helping merchants make smarter decisions. “It’s about deeper engagement and real empowerment,” Khanduja added.
