Rajshree Entertainment has now entered the Marathi film industry with the film ‘Paani’, produced in association with Purple Pebble Pictures and Kothare Vision Pvt. Ltd. This is Rajshree Entertainment’s first Marathi film and they have created history in their debut.
Directed by Adinath Kothare, the film Paani is based on the life of Hanumant Kendra, known as the ‘Jaldoot’ of Marathwada. It is not just a biopic but a powerful and sensitive film that conveys the importance of water to the society. ‘Paani’ has so far won 25 prestigious awards at national and international awards and various award ceremonies. These include major categories like Best Film and Best Director. Due to this success, ‘Paani’ has become the most talked about Marathi film of the year.
Even before its release, the film was awarded the ’66th National Film Award’ for ‘Best Feature Film on Environmental Protection/Conservation’. Adinath Kothare won the Best Actor award at the New York Film Festival.
