IB ACIO Notification 2025: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a short notification for the recruitment of 3717 posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO). This recruitment process will start from July 19, 2025, under which interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online by visiting the official website www.mha.gov.in.

Vacancy details

According to the data released, out of the total posts, 1537 posts are reserved for the General Category, 442 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 946 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 566 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 226 posts are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Educational Qualification and Computer Knowledge Mandatory
Candidates applying for Assistant Central http://www.mha.gov.inIntelligence Officer (ACIO) Recruitment 2025 released by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) must have a graduation degree in any subject from a recognized university. Along with this, candidates should also have basic computer knowledge, which will be required for office-related work.

Age limit and date of calculation
The minimum age of the candidates to apply for this recruitment process is 18 years, and the maximum age is 27 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of the date of 10 August 2025. Reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per government rules, information of which will be given in the detailed notification.

Three stages in the selection process
The candidates will be selected in three stages. Tier-I (Objective Test), Tier-II (Descriptive Test), and Tier-III (Interview). Tier-I will be a multiple-choice paper of 100 marks, in which questions will be asked from General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English, and General Studies. Candidates will be given 60 minutes for this exam.

Descriptive Test and Interview

The Tier-II exam will be of 50 marks, which will include essay writing (30 marks) and English comprehension and precis writing (20 marks). This will be followed by Tier-III i.e. interview stage, which will be of 100 marks.
