Delhi dtc pink pass: The women of Delhi will soon be released Pink Pass for free travel in DTC buses. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made an important announcement in this regard on Wednesday. He made it clear that this facility will be for women residing in Delhi only. Women coming from outside will not be able to take advantage of this scheme.
Till now women were given pink tickets for free travel in DTC and cluster buses, but soon this system will be replaced and pink pass will be implemented. Aadhaar card will be necessary for this pass and it will be issued through a special system.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gave information about this new scheme during an event organized at Nandanagari depot, where he also inaugurated the automatic testing station. They said, "The priority of the Delhi government is to empower the DTC financially. Currently there is a loss of about Rs 65,000 crore on DTC, which is planned to end gradually."
CM Rekha Gupta said that the help of IIT is being taken to make the capital’s bus network more systematic. He said that a new blueprint of bus routes is being prepared in Delhi, which will provide more convenience to the passengers and the journey will be easier.
Transport Minister Pankaj Singh said that a special technical platform is being prepared to implement the ‘Pink Pass’ scheme. They said, "It will be mandatory for the women of Delhi to submit Aadhaar card to avail this scheme. Very soon this scheme will be launched for the common people."
