The BJP government of Delhi has now decided to implement a new system for free travel in DTC buses. Under which smart cards will be provided to women traveling free. On the basis of which they will be allowed to travel in DTC buses.

It has been made clear by the Delhi government that this facility will be only for the women of Delhi. Any woman who is traveling free in Delhi's DTC bus should be a resident of Delhi. For this, the government has set some eligibility criteria.

Even if a woman is living in Delhi. But if she does not have proof that she is a resident of Delhi, then her smart card will not be made, that is, she will have to buy a DTC bus ticket for travel.

Now many women are wondering how they will prove that they are residents of Delhi so that their smart card can be made. So, while applying for this, a copy of the official identity card issued by the government will have to be attached.

If we talk about these, then government documents like voter card, Aadhaar card and ration card will be valid. Which only a few thousand women of Delhi have. And these women will get a chance to travel free with a smart card.

Women who do not have these documents, even if they are living in Delhi, will have to buy a ticket to travel in a DTC bus. The Delhi government can soon announce the date of issuing smart cards for free travel.
