Staff Selection Commission fills vacancies for various posts through SSC CGL examination, which also includes Inspector of Income Tax. We can say that to become an Income Tax Inspector, the candidates will have to pass the SSC CGL examination by the Staff Selection Commission.

Let us tell you that the Staff Selection Commission has released SSC CGL 2025 recruitment, however, the application process for this has been closed. According to the official notification, the probable exam date of SSC CGL Tier 1 is from 13 August to 30 August 2025. At the same time, Tier 2 exam is expected to be held in December this year.
