Kireeti Reddy's much-anticipated debut film 'Junior' made it to the big screens on July 18, and it enjoyed a decent opening. Co-starring Sreeleela and Genelia D’Souza, the Telugu-Kannada bilingual film was the talk of the town for months, especially due to Kireeti’s high-profile launch.
Decent start at the box office
As per early estimates from trade tracking platform Sacnilk, Junior collected over Rs 1.40 crore on its first day across India. While not record-breaking, the film's performance shows a promising start for the debutant, especially given the mixed critical reception and limited release in some areas.

Occupancy trends
The film had an overall Telugu occupancy of 22.00% across theatres, with the night shows witnessing the highest turnout at 27.57%. Morning shows started slower at 19.47%, with a slight dip during afternoon and evening slots.
In the Kannada version, Junior saw a more modest 14.47% overall occupancy. Morning and afternoon shows remained steady around 13–14%, while evening shows dropped to 11.79%. However, the night shows brought a slight spike with 18.06% occupancy.
