Pulicat Lake In Tamil Nadu
Pulicat Lake is tucked away on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and it's India's second-largest brackish lagoon. This beautiful lagoon has a lot of different plants and animals living there because of its rich biodiversity. It's also a big deal for commercial fishing. The lagoon is home to the Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary and the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. You must visit Pulicat Lake mainly to spot greater flamingos and click lots of amzing pictures for the trip.

Nizampatnam Lagoon In Andhra Pradesh
If you haven't planned a trip to Andhra Pradesh yet, you must visit the Nizampatnam lagoon. This small coastal village near Nizampatnam has incredible views and a serene environment for tourists. When you're there, you can take boat rides through mangrove forests that look like the Amazon ones. Exploring those mangroves is an amazing experience, especially in winter when you might spot seagulls.

Vembanad Lake In Kerala
Kerala's Vembanad Lake is part of the Kerala backwaters, a network of five lakes. These lakes are connected by natural and man-made canals and get water from rivers. The Ramsar Convention protects Vembanad Lake for using wetlands in a sustainable way. This lagoon gets water from both the sea and rivers. It's also Kerala's biggest freshwater lake, stretching from Cochin to Alappuzha.

Chilika Lake In Odisha
Chilika Lake in Odisha is the world's second biggest lagoon and India's biggest lagoon. In winters, Chilika Lake becomes home to hundreds of migratory birds in the Indian subcontinent. Apart from birds, the lagoons also have lots of endangered plants and animals. In fact, Chilika Lake is the biggest place where Irrawaddy dolphins live in the whole world. So you can even see dolphins playing in the waters here.
