A viral post has taken social media by storm, claiming Coldplay will introduce “camera-free audience zones” at their concerts following the now-infamous kiss cam incident involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. The July 16 concert clip, which captured Byron allegedly getting cozy with a woman who wasn't his wife, triggered a firestorm online — but the band's supposed response? Total fiction.
But here’s the catch: the statement was never actually posted by Coldplay’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. No such message appeared on or after July 17, and the band has not responded publicly to the situation.

The controversy erupted when Andy Byron and a woman, allegedly not his wife, were caught on the kiss cam during Chris Martin’s playful audience interaction. The moment, shared widely on social media, led to widespread speculation about Byron’s personal life, especially as he was spotted kissing a woman identified as Kristin Cabot.
Cabot is the Chief People Officer at Astronomer and Byron’s coworker. She reportedly joined the company in November 2024 and has worked in leadership roles across several major companies.
In the wake of the viral clip, a second fabricated tweet added fuel to the fire. Posted by parody account @DailyNoud, it falsely claimed that Byron reached out to rapper Future for advice following the fallout. This too has no basis in fact.
As speculation swirled, internet sleuths dug into Kristin Cabot’s background. Her LinkedIn profile describes her as a “passionate people leader” with a track record in fast-growth startups and multinational corporations. She was previously married to Kenneth Thornby. Their divorce was finalized in 2022.
Byron, who shares two children with his wife Megan Kerrigan Byron, has not responded to the rumors, and neither has Cabot.
