A drunken person jumped into the river on Saturday night in Kattappana, Kerala. Police and local people conducted a search operation overnight to find the person, when the police came to know about the reality, the police were blown away.

On Sunday morning, it was found that the person is safe at his home.

Jump in not 11 o'clock at night

The incident took place at 11 pm, when a person named Madhu jumped into the Kattappana river. Local people say that Madhu was drunk at that time and he took this step due to family problems.

Statements and searches of eyewitnesses

Eyewitnesses said that Madhu initially resorted to tree twigs and rocks in the river, but later it disappeared. Locals immediately informed the police along with fire fighting and rescue services. Subsequently, a search operation was carried out overnight with the help of searchlight and emergency parties. Despite hours of hard work, Madhu was not found.

Madhu found safe at home

Local people came to know that Madhu is safe at home. Investigation revealed that he had swimming from the river at night and returned to the shore and spent the rest of the night at his house. The incident gave a sigh of relief to the administration and the local people, but at the same time highlighted the need to pay attention to the risks related to drugs and mental health.
