South Africa vs West Indies: The second match of the World Championship of Legends 2025 was played on 19 July between South Africa Champions and West Indies Champions. The match was decided not by a Super Over but by the ball-out rule. In this match, West Indies batted first, in response to which South Africa kept the match tied. Then, as per the rules, the umpires decided to bowl out to decide the outcome of the match, in which Africa won and defeated West Indies.

The match was played in 11 overs due to rain. Batting first, West Indies scored 79 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 11 overs. West Indies got off to a poor start. As the opener, Chris Gayle scored 2 runs in 6 balls. While Dwayne Smith was dismissed for 7 runs in 11 balls. Lendl Simmons, who was at number three, scored 28 runs in 21 balls. He scored the most runs for the team. Kieron Pollard, who was at number four, could not even open his account. He was dismissed for a golden duck.

Chasing the target, South Africa equalized the score. Sarel Ervy scored the highest runs for the team. He scored 27 runs in 18 balls. Apart from this, JP Duminy played an important innings of 25 runs in 12 balls. South Africa won the match on the ball out method. In the ball out, South African players stumped 2 out of 5 times, while West Indies players did not stump out even once. Thus, South Africa won the match.

South Africa needed 9 runs to win in the last over. JP Duminy and Smuts were at the crease. 7 runs were scored off the first three balls. Two runs were scored off the third ball. Smuts was clean bowled on the fourth ball. Edwards caught Morne van on the fifth ball. One run was scored off the last ball as a leg bye. The match was drawn.

Now the West Indies champions needed three hits out of five, Fidel Edwards missed the first hit. Sheldon Cottrell also missed the second hit. Ashley Nurse also missed his third attempt. Dwayne Bravo also failed to hit and South Africa won the match by a ball out.
