Veteran actor Ravi Kishan, known for his prolific career across Bhojpuri, Hindi, and Telugu cinema, will next be seen in Son of Sardaar 2, headlined by Ajay Devgn. As part of the promotional run, the cast appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where a humorous yet heartfelt exchange unfolded about Ravi's personal life and his deep respect for his wife, Priti Shukla.
Host Kapil Sharma steered the conversation toward Ravi’s endearing habit of touching his wife’s feet every night. The actor responded candidly, saying: “I do it, but she never let me do that, but whenever she is sleeping…”
He went on to explain the deep-rooted reason behind this gesture of reverence: “She was by my side when I had neither money nor means. She held on through all ups and downs. Whatever success I have today, it’s because she never left my side. My son is sitting in front of me, he knows that the way she managed me, touching her feet is the least I can do.”
The emotional moment quickly turned light-hearted when Ajay Devgn jumped in with a cheeky remark: “The guiltier a man is, the more he will bend to touch his wife’s feet.”
His comment had Ravi Kishan, the cast, and the audience bursting into laughter.
Ravi’s devotion to his wife isn’t just for the cameras. In an earlier Instagram post on Karwa Chauth, the actor shared a heartfelt note celebrating Priti’s unwavering support: “Preeti is the support system for our family. She has always stayed beside me through thick and thin. I cannot thank her enough for making my life the way it is. Karva Chauth is a very special festival for both of us. On this day, I make sure I am with her at least during the puja ceremony. This helps strengthen our bond.”
Ravi Kishan was recently lauded for his impactful performance in Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. With Son of Sardaar 2, he reunites with Ajay Devgn after sharing screen space in Singham Again (2024). He also starred in the action-packed Telugu film Daaku Maharaaj alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna.
