However, the Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph has revealed in an interview that the makers of Drishyam 3 Hindi i.e. Panorama Studios initially wanted to begin the Hindi version first but backed off after they were warned of a legal action.

Jeethu Joseph Warns Drishyam 3 Hindi Makers Of Legal Action
Jeethu Joseph revealed recently that Drishyam 3 Malayalam original will go on floors by October 2025 and the makers of Hindi remake have also officially announced the shoot of the Ajay Devgn starrer will begin by October 2, 2025.
In an interview with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu Joseph revealed how he prevented the Ajay Devgn starrer makers from taking an early start as far as the Hindi remake shoot was concerned.
He said, "There were demands on making Malayalam and Hindi versions together, but we haven't decided on those matters. There were initially some plans to start in Hindi first, but after a hint was given that this would be dealt with legally, they backed off from it."

Drishyam 3 Malayalam, Hindi & Telugu To Have Same Plot
Last month, the filmmaker had also clarified that the plot of Drishyam 3 Hindi and Telugu will be the same as the Malayalam original contrary to the online rumours about the Hindi version opting for a different story.
He had stated, "The script of the third film is nearing completion. There have been reports that the Hindi version will have a different story, but that's not true. The Hindi film will also be based on my story. Once I complete my script, it will be shared with the Hindi team, who will then adapt it to suit their setting and make suitable cultural changes."

Drishyam 3 Release Date
While the release date of Drishyam 3 Malayalam starring Mohanlal and Telugu version starring Venkatesh are not announced yet, the Hindi version will hit the screens on October 2, 2026.
