This temple of Dandroa Dham is considered about 300 years old. According to beliefs, once the neem tree was cut in this area, an ancient idol of Lord Hanuman was found from under this tree. It is believed that this idol was in Gopi dress and dance posture, which is the only statue of its kind in India. This idol is so vibrant that some devotees believe that it actually dances.

The monk was cured of cancer

There is also a quite interesting story behind Lord Hanuman's Dandroa Dham. It is believed that a monk named Shivkumar Das lived here, who was suffering from cancer. He was an ardent devotee of Sadhu Hanuman ji and used to worship daily in the temple. One night, when he stayed in the temple, Hanuman ji appeared to him as a doctor. He had a stethoscope around his neck and the monks became completely healthy after darshan. From the same day, this temple came to be known as Dr. Hanuman Temple.

Incredible diseases are treated

Devotees coming to this temple believe that Hanuman ji treats all kinds of diseases here. People suffering from cancer, boils, ulcers and other serious diseases especially come here. It is believed that the diseases are cured by performing five revolutions of the temple and applying Hanuman ji's blessings. Some devotees claim that drinking the charanamrit of the temple also relieves serious diseases.

Every Tuesday and Saturday there is a huge crowd of devotees. On the last Tuesday of the month of Bhadrapada, a special festival is celebrated as 'Budhwa Mangal', in which millions of devotees come to visit. According to another belief, when Ravana took Sita Mata, Hanuman ji entered Ashoka Vatika in Sakhi form. This incident took place on the last Tuesday of Bhadrapada, due to which old age Mars has special significance.

All diseases have an end

Apart from the statue of Hanuman ji's dance posture in this temple, the Bhubhuti here is considered a panacea. According to the Mahant of the temple, chanting the mantra 'Om Sri Dadraua Hanumate Namah' eradicates all the diseases and devotees get happiness and prosperity.
