Up weather alert: In Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has once again gained momentum, and the weather has promised to relieve people from humid heat. The low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal has further strengthened the possibilities of rain in the southern-eastern parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 19 districts like Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sonbhadra on Friday, while 39 districts have been feared to have lightning with thunderstorms. This rain will not only reduce the temperature, but will also give a feeling of coolness to the people suffering from heat and humidity. The low pressure area developed on Thursday evening in the Bay of Bengal has re -activated the monsoon in Uttar Pradesh. According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at Lucknow’s Zonal Meteorological Center, the impact of this low pressure will first be seen in the southern and eastern parts of the state. The rains starting from Friday are likely to continue for the next three-four days. During this time the scope of rain will gradually move towards western Uttar Pradesh. Light to moderate rains are also expected in areas of Bundelkhand, Terai and Madhyanchal. This rain will not only bring relief for farmers, but can also increase waterlogging and traffic problems in urban areas.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 19 districts. These include Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur. People living in these areas have been advised to be vigilant. Due to heavy rains, the water level in rivers and drains may increase, which is expected to cause flood -like conditions. In addition, there is a possibility of waterlogging and traffic disrupted on the roads.
Along with heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of lightning in 39 districts with thunderstorms. Among these districts Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Unpar Nagar, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur are included. In view of the possibility of lightning, people have been advised not to stay under open grounds, trees or in high places.
