On the first day of the Manchester Test match, when the 68th over of the Indian team’s innings was going on, Rishabh Pant tried to play a reverse sweep shot on a full-length ball by Chris Woakes. The ball hit the inner edge of Pant’s bat directly on his shoes, after which Pant was seen in a lot of pain. After this, Physio tried to reduce his pain on the field, but the injury was quite serious, in which he was also bleeding from his foot when he took off the shoe. In an update given by the BCCI about Rishabh Pant, it has been reported that Pant was immediately rushed to the hospital. He suffered an injury to his right leg while batting on the first day of the Manchester Test. He was taken out of the stadium for a scan. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.
