EasyJet passengers can take four items of luggage onboard flights completely free of charge this summer and get early boarding. Every passenger is allowed to bring one small under seat cabin bag each onboard for free providing it is no larger than 45 x 36 x 20cm, including wheels and handles, and weighs no more than 15kg. This bag needs to be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you and you must be able to lift and carry it yourself. But passengers can take up to two extra items of luggage onboard flights for no charge if travelling with infants and children, which is good news for families heading abroad this summer.

For every infant or child, the airline will allow you to bring up to two items free of charge to go into the hold, in addition to your cabin bag allowance. These items can include a travel cot, pushchair, double pushchair, buggy, car seat, collapsible or non-collapsible pram, booster seat and/or a baby back carrier.

EasyJet explains: "You can check these in at our Bag Drop before you go through security, or if you need to use any of them to get to the boarding gate, we'll collect them from you before you board the plane and put them in the aircraft hold. They will be available to collect at the baggage reclaim when you arrive at your destination."

Infants who have a booked seat and children over the age of two have the same cabin bag and hold allowance as adults, but if you're travelling with an infant who will be seated on your lap you can take an additional baby changing bag for them. Again, this must be no bigger than 45 x 36 x 20cm and must be placed underneath the seat in front of you.

The changing bag, plus the two extra baby items, and a small cabin bag means easyJet passengers can take up to four luggage items in total on flights without having to pay any extra cash.

Plus, in addition to these free items passengers who are travelling with children under the age of five can also enjoy early boarding onto the plane, so you get to avoid the crowds when getting to your seat.

The airline adds: "We understand that flying with children can sometimes be a challenge, so we've tried to make it as easy as possible for you.

"If you're travelling with children under 5, we'll board you early. We can also carry two additional items for your child in the hold for free, if you require them. These include a travel cot, pushchair, car seat, collapsible or non-collapsible pram, booster seat and/or baby back carrier.

"You can choose your seats in advance (for a fee) to ensure you sit together. We support breastfeeding mothers and you can feed your baby on board at any time."
