Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A two-year-old boy died after falling from the first-floor of his house in the Azad Nagar police station area on Thursday. He was accompanied by his elder sister. The tragic incident took place when she had gone inside to bring her mobile phone to click his picture leaving him unattended.

In that brief moment, the child climbed onto the railing and lost balance. By the time his sister returned, the child had fallen to the ground. He suffered severe head injury and was immediately rushed to a hospital

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Riyansh, son of Anil Katare, a resident of Shiv Nagar, Musakhedi.

Family members said that Riyansh was taken to three private hospitals, but each one referred him elsewhere without proper treatment. Eventually, he was taken to MY Hospital, but by the time treatment began, his condition had worsened and he succumbed within two hours.

Riyansh was the only son in the family and born 17 years after his elder sister. His parents had long prayed for a son, and his sudden death has left the family in grief.
