After years of anticipation, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' finally arrived in theatres on this day (July 24). Starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, the film has been trending heavily across social media, marking one of the most awaited releases of the year. Now the latest reports say that a popular streaming platform has acquired the rights of the movie.

Digital rights and OTT plans
While 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' has opened to mixed reviews in theatres, attention is now shifting to its digital release.
As reported by Deccan Chronicle, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the streaming rights, and the film is expected to begin streaming by the end of August. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers about the OTT premiere date.
Mixed first reviews
Although the fans were longing to watch the epic unfold on the big screen, it seems thar majority of them are left unsatisfied. One Twitter review reads, "1) #HHVM is a missed opportunity for Pawan Kalyan to establish himself as a pan-India star. 2) VFX is much worse than what we saw in the trailer. Everything looked really cheap. 3) Zero care has been taken on the looks of Pawan Kalyan, he looked very old & untidy. Romantic scenes with @AgerwalNidhhi who's half his age were cringe-worthy & tests your patience." Another review reads, "#HariHaraVeerMallu (Telugu|2025) - THEATRE! PK Screen Presence OK. Bad 1st Hlf & Worst 2nd Hlf. VFX work horrible. Narration doesnt hv a proper flow, scenes r like bits and pieces stick together. Forced Religion angle doesnt help. Other than Keeravani’s Music, its a Total CRAP!"

Titled 'HHVM: Part 1—Sword vs Spirit', the film lays the foundation for a potential sequel. Whether the next installment moves forward will largely depend on the audience's response to this first part.
Set in the 17th-century Mughal Empire, the film tells the story of a legendary warrior, Veeramallu, played by Pawan himself. This historical action drama has not had an easy road to completion. Initially directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the project went through a prolonged production stretch.
Alongside Pawan Kalyan, the film features Nidhhi Agerwal as dancer Panchami and Bobby Deol as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
