Bone disease and paralysis snatched life
Chandrakanta is suffering from a rare orthopedic called osteogenesis imperfecta, in which bones become very weak and break again and again. In 2020, after alleged medical negligence, there was paralysis in the lower part of his body. Since then she is in wheelchair and is living alone.
Did not give up duty even in pain, takes 8 hours daily
Chandrakanta wrote in his letter ...
"I will not lose my own life, because I teach my students to live bravely. But now my body has responded. The pain remains continuously and has become unbearable. So I am seeking permission from the President for euthanasia, so that my organs can give new life to others."
Chandrakanta is living for others
Chandrakanta Jethwani lives alone and no one in his family is alive. He has donated his property to six poor students of the school. Also, he has taken an oath to donate his organs to MGM Medical College in Indore. He says "My organs are no longer of my use, but if they can give someone an opportunity to see or live, then they are more valuable than diamonds."
The school administration did not know
The school's Principal Sakharam Prasad said that he got information about this appeal of Chandrakanta through the media. She said, "She teaches with full loyalty despite her health. She never told me about euthanasia, but we are aware of her suffering."
Blakes the pain, but gives life to others
The story of Chandrakanta Jethwani is of a teacher who is taking a pledge to give life to others while living in pain. This case not only spuns a debate on a sensitive subject like euthanasia, but also states that sensations, service and dedication in the society are still alive. His appeal has now been sent to the President, and reaction has started coming across the country.
