New Delhi: London-based tech brand Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is back in the news today, as its CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus officially go on sale in India. The new wireless earbuds are now available on platforms like Flipkart, Myntra, Croma, Vijay Sales, and other retail outlets starting July 25, 2025.

Both products were unveiled earlier and have now gone live for purchase. The company says they aim to offer customisable audio and comfort, blending design with longer battery and noise cancellation features. This development was confirmed by Nothing India through their official channels.

CMF Buds 2 brings longer battery and spatial audio

The CMF Buds 2 is clearly aimed at users who just want a good pair of wireless earbuds without spending a lot. I’ve seen a lot of people switching to earbuds for calls and commutes, and these seem to be targeting that crowd.

The Buds 2 features an 11 mm driver and comes with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation rated at 48 dB. There’s also Dirac Opteo tuning, which helps sharpen up vocals and instrument details. Spatial Audio Effect is included too, which is tuned using an HRTF-based algorithm. This is supposed to create a cinematic surround-like feel, although we’ll need to test that in daily use to see how real that sounds.

Battery backup is pretty impressive. With ANC off, CMF says you get 13.5 hours of playback from the buds alone and up to 55 hours including the case. There’s a fast-charging option where a 10-minute charge can get you around 7.5 hours of listening time.

Design-wise, the earbuds follow CMF’s signature minimal look with a matte finish and metallic details. The Buds 2 are available in three colours: Dark Grey, Light Green and Orange.

CMF Buds 2 Plus adds LDAC, bigger drivers and more ANC

For users who want better audio specs, the Buds 2 Plus comes with a slightly more premium setup. The drivers are 12 mm and use LCP materials, which can handle higher frequencies and better bass. The earbuds support LDAC and are Hi-Res Wireless Audio certified.

The Buds 2 Plus is powered by Audiodo’s tech which detects the user’s hearing sensitivity and adjusts sound accordingly. That’s paired with Personal Sound mode to customise audio based on how the user hears at different frequencies. It’s something we’ve seen on a few high-end earbuds already, so it’s interesting to see this trickle into this price band.

Noise cancellation on this variant goes up to 50 dB and it includes Smart Adaptive Mode. This mode adjusts noise cancellation depending on environmental sounds and ear canal leakage. The Buds 2 Plus has a longer battery as well, 14 hours from the earbuds alone, and 61.5 hours with the case and ANC turned off. A quick 10-minute top-up gives 8.5 hours of playback.

These earbuds are being offered in Blue and Light Grey colours. The design continues the clean look but adds a smooth, soft-touch sandblasted metal finish.

Pricing and availability

Both earbuds are now available across major online and offline channels. The CMF Buds 2 is priced at ₹2,699, while the Buds 2 Plus comes in at ₹3,299.

Buyers can purchase them via Flipkart, Myntra, Vijay Sales, Croma, Flipkart Minutes, and other retail platforms from today.
