Srividya was an actress whose beauty and acting art was exceptional like Devi Shri Devi. Srividya, who started her brilliant film career as a child artist in the 1960s, made a special identity in South Indian cinema in a very short time. He acted in more than 800 films in many languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Romance and innocence were reflected in his early roles, but later he also made his acting ability iron in the characters of the mother. Srividya’s film journey was as successful, his personal life was equally full of tragedies. His love affair with Kamal Haasan made a lot of headlines, but due to family pressure and some misunderstandings, the relationship could not reach the point. Subsequently, he decided to marry an assistant director George Thomas, for which he also changed his religion. Srividya agreed to this marriage by putting her career at stake, but she hoped that she would live a pleasant life with George. However, shortly after the wedding, George showed her real face. He not only grabbed all the earnings of Srividya, but also expelled him from the house. Broken by this deception, Srividya had to divorce and work in characters like mother to re -establish her identity. He fought a legal battle to regain all his assets and money, in which he eventually won. Despite her tragedies, Srividya maintained her dedication to art and continued to work with cancer. He died of breast cancer in 2006, but his contribution to the acting world will always be remembered.
