Director Mohit Suri 's film ' Saiyaara ' has turned out to be a game-changer for both him and the lead performers - Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda . The film, which is all set to cross the Rs 200 crore mark today, was not expected to generate such a strong response from the audience, but it struck a chord with young moviegoers. As a result, it has already become a huge success at the domestic box office. While the movie has generated huge profits, here's how much the actors were paid.
'Saiyaara' cast fees
According to India.com, big production banners like Yash Raj Films usually pay their debuting talents between Rs 3 and 5 crore. The report further stated that Ahaan, the leading man, has been paid more than Aneet for the film.
Note that these are speculative figures and not official numbers.
The director of the film, Mohit Suri, has reportedly been paid Rs 6 to 8 crore for this project. The filmmaker has delivered blockbuster films like 'Aashiqui 2' and 'Ek Villain' previously.
Budget and box office dominance of 'Saiyaara'
As per the reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 40-50 crore. The film managed to recover the production cost in just the first three days of its release. It collected Rs 21.5 crore on the opening day itself.
According to Sacnilk, the film, backed by YRF, has raked in Rs 190.75 crore in eight days since its release.
Film's reception
The numbers are proof of how the film is receiving love from the audience. But not just moviegoers; it has received praise from several actors, producers, and directors as well. Alia Bhatt , Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan , Shraddha Kapoor, Aamir Khan's team, Ameesha Patel, and more lauded Suri's work and performances by Ahaan and Aneet.

Recently, director Subhash Ghai stated that when a movie with a new star cast works at the box office, it gives a message to producers, filmmakers, and investors that they don't need to make an "overbudget" movie but rather fund the one with a good story.

India.com quoted him saying, "Not to invest in main actors more than your production cost—no money spent on stars’ whims—no extra spend on marketing stunts."
'Saiyaara' was released in theatres on July 18, 2025.
