IBPS PO, SO 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released important notices to candidates for the Probationary Officer (PO) and Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment tests, 2025, on ibps.in.

In order to prevent server load concerns, the institute has advised that candidates apply and pay well in advance of the July 28 extended application deadline for these two recruiting exams.

According to the notification, "A candidate may only make corrections and resubmit the updated application once during the 'Edit Window to Modify/ Correct Application Form.'" This means that if a candidate makes a mistake in the updated application, no updates will be permitted. Candidates must confirm that they have entered accurate information in each field of the form before submitting the amended application

IBPS announced in a notice that candidates for the PO and SO exams will have two days to revise their forms following the conclusion of the application process. July 31 is the opening date, while August 1 is the closing date.

  • Total vacancies: Over 6,000 posts

  • Probationary Officers (PO): 5,208 vacancies

  • Specialist Officers (SO): 1,007 vacancies

    - Opens: July 31, 2025

  • Note: Only one-time correction is allowed during the edit window.

Category Modification Rules:

  • Candidates from General, EWS, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PwBD can change to General, EWS, or OBC (NCL).

  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PwBD can change only within SC, ST, or PwBD categories.

IBPS PO, SO 2025: Non editable field

Fields that cannot be changed during the correction window:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Mobile number

Note:

  • These fields are permanently locked once registered.

  • Candidates are strongly advised to verify these details carefully during initial registration.

Application Correction Fee:

  • ₹200 for all categories

  • Non-refundable

Application Fee:

  • ₹175 for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates
