Ranchi. The special CBI court on Saturday imposed a two -year sentence and a fine of Rs 50,000 in a corruption case of former JPSC president Dilip Prasad. Along with Dilip Prasad, accused Surendra Kumar Jain and Sudhir Jain have also been sentenced to 2-2 years and fined 50 thousand rupees. Dilip Prasad has been granted bail by the court to get into the appeal. Dilip Prasad and Jain brothers were accused of cheating and conspiracy to cause revenue damage to the government of about Rs 29 lakh. In 2013, an FIR was filed in the year 2013 for this scam. Dilip Prasad was also accused of taking bribe in appointments in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. Two more people have been sentenced with them.

The case was registered under CBI case number RC 6/2013. This is the first case of dozens of cases to the recruitment scam, in which the final decision has come. The court had earlier reserved the verdict after the final debate, which has now been made public. After the final debate in the case was completed, the court set the date of verdict on 21 July. The first of the cases filed against Dilip Prasad has come in the case.

He misused the government post and gave a tender of OMR scanning machine to the favorite company for his benefit. This tender was given to SPS International Limited. Whereas firms Messrs Methodax Systems Limited had lowered the price for high and better capacity OMR scanning machines. This led to a loss of revenue of Rs 13.56 lakh to JPSC and the accused firm got the wrong benefit in this proportion.
