Whether you are returning from date, from concert, or weekend trip, home safe ensures that your reliable contacts are known that you have reached home safely. Alerts can only be sent to friends with whom you already share your location, and each alert is a one -time notice that is automatically closed after sending. Snapchat has stressed that the location sharing remains closed by default. Until you share it, no one can see your location or receive home safe alert.
To activate this feature, users must first set their home space by tapping on their bitmosy on Snap Map and choosing “My Home”. This place is only visible to the users and friends with whom they share their location. While going out, users can open a conversation, tap on the map icon, and choose the “home safe” button to turn on the alert.
Snap map, which is already one of the most popular mobile maps with more than 40 crore monthly users, allows friends and families to stay connected and search for surrounding places. Last year, Snapchat launched the facility of location sharing at its Parental Control Hub, Family Center. The new home safe feature is based on this, which provides an easy way to keep the loved ones informed during the journey of users.
