Bihar News: The enhancement policy of Bihar new and renewable energy sources – 2025 and Bihar Pump Storage Project Promotion Policy 2025 were inaugurated at Gyan Bhawan in Patna. Hon’ble Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Honorable Industries Minister Nitish Mishra, BERC Chairman Aamir Dawhani on the occasion; Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Mihir Kumar Singh; Energy Secretary cum BSPHCL CMD Manoj Kumar Singh, Kundan Kumar, Invished Commissioner cum MD Biada and Mr. Mukul Kumar, Director, Department of Industries, Director, MNRE, Bihar Industry Association, CII and a large number of investors and stakeholders were present.
Many big companies and PSUs of the country’s energy sector participated in the program, such as Tata Power, Ashoka Buildcon, Awada, Larsen & Toubro, Intelligrymart, NTPC Green, Solar Energy Corporation of India, Adani Power, Secure Meters, E E & Wi, Sutlej Jal Bijthan of India, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited. Enterprises, Vikram Solar Limited, Greenco, EESL, Wari and CEL participated. Among the representatives of all companies, both these policies were appreciated with open heart and I called Bihar one of the most suitable states of the country for investment.
Several major compromise meteors were signed during the program. An agreement was reached for the development of 1 GW Ground Mounted and Floating Solar Projects between Brada and Me O Awada. In addition, Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited and Solar Energy Corporation of India formed a partnership of floating solar and other renewable energy projects worth Rs 3,000 crore. Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited signed an agreement for the 116 M Also, an agreement was reached between NTPC Green and Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore for 1000 MW battery energy system project. All these initiatives will prove to be a milestone towards making Bihar a self -reliant and leading state in the field of green energy.
In his address, Honorable Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said that the renewable energy incentive policy issued by the Government of Bihar is inviting energy investors from the country and abroad through 2025 and pumped storage project incentive policy 2025. These policies are important steps towards promoting clean energy, attracting investment and making the state an active partner in the national goal of Net Zero. We are committed to providing all necessary facilities and cooperation to investors.
Honorable Industries Minister Nitish Mishra said in his address that the state government is progressing rapidly in the energy sector, and we want to establish a holistic green development model by connecting it with industry development. Soon the state government is going to bring Bihar Industrial Policy 2025, which will not only encourage industries, but will also promote investment in the clean energy sector. The Government of India has approved some industrial corridors or integrated manufacturing clusters. In 1700 acres, we are currently being developed this cluster, where companies will be able to invest in traditional and non-conventional energy sources. It is our endeavor that Bihar moved forward towards a permanent and self -sufficient economy with this coordination of industries and energy.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries, Mihir Kumar Singh said that the Bihar government is not only to make energy production, but also to connect it with the industrial development of the state. Through Bihar Biofuel Production Products Policy 2025, we are attracting investment in areas such as ethanol, compressed biogas. Under this policy, discounts in capital grants, interest grant, state GST and electricity fee, as well as local employment and skill development have also been promoted. The state government is committed to providing all possible support to industrialists, so that Bihar can become a leading state in the field of biofuels and green energy.
Energy Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said in his address that the government has ensured that whatever entrepreneurs, investors, or institutes want to join us in this green journey, they get full support. Therefore, the policy has given some important incentives such as 100 percent discount in State GST so that local investment is promoted. 100% discount on stamp duty and registration fee; Full discount from STU charge, which reduces project costs and most important, 100 percent discount on custom duty also, making it easier to import machinery and equipment. He said that for industry and investors, we have arranged policy stability, simple process of licensing, availability of land, and rapid approval. I urge investors to come to Bihar.
