If you are dreaming of working in the prestigious Intelligence Bureau (IB) of India, then there is good news for you. The Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced bumper recruitment for the posts of Security Assistant and Executive. Under this recruitment process, eligible candidates will be appointed to a total of 4987 posts. The process of online application for this recruitment has started from 26 July 2025. Interested candidates can apply till 17 August 2025. The last date for paying the online fee has been fixed as 19 August 2025.

Who can apply?

To apply for this post, the candidate must have a certificate of passing the 10th from a recognized board. Apart from this, those who have other necessary qualifications related to it can also apply.

How much salary will be given?

The selected candidates will get a salary ranging from 21,700 to 69,100 per month. This salary has been fixed according to the pay scale of the Central Government, which keeps increasing from time to time.

What is the age limit?

To apply for these posts, the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 27 years (as will be valid on 17 August 2025). As per government rules, relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates:

SC / ST 5 years relaxation

OBC 3 years relaxation

How will the selection process be?

Candidates will be selected in three stages. Tier-1 exam will have multiple choice questions of 100 marks, which will include subjects like General Awareness, Mathematical Ability, Reasoning, English and General Studies. The exam will be of one hour and negative marking of 1/3 marks will be done for each wrong answer.

Tier-2 exam will have a paper of 50 marks and the exam duration will be one hour. It will have questions to test the analytical and communication ability of the candidates. Interview (Tier-3) Candidates successful in Tier-2 will be called for interview. This interview will be of 50 marks.
