Rishabh pant replacement: Rishabh Pant, who was injured vice -captain during the Manchester Test, has officially dropped out of the last match of the series. The BCCI has also announced his replacement. Wicketkeeper batsman Narayan Jagdishan has been included in the Indian squad for the first time in place of Pant. Earlier, there was a discussion of Ishaan Kishan’s name, which has not been returned to the team since November 2023.
According to the late night statement by the BCCI, Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test of the series due to fracture in the right leg during the fourth Test against England in Manchester. The BCCI’s medical team will monitor their progress and wishes for them to recover quickly. The Men Selection Committee has included Narayan Jagdishan in place of Rishabh Pant for the fifth Test starting on 31 July 2025 at Kennington Oval, London.
