Yogendra Rana, Vice President of Karni Sena, is once again in the headlines. This time he has made controversial remarks on Samajwadi Party (SP) Kairana MP Iqra Hasan. Rana reiterated his old matter and said that he wants to marry Iqra Hasan and to call AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi his brother -in -law. He made this statement in a video, which is now going viral on social media. A complaint has been filed against him in Moradabad after this video went viral. The complaint has been lodged by SP Advocate Assembly Chairman Sunita Singh.
Following this statement by Rana, an FIR has been lodged against him at Katghar police station in Moradabad. The police have registered a case under Section 79, 356 (2) of the Code of India (BNS) and Section 63 of the Information Technology (IT) Act. If Rana is found guilty in these allegations, he can be imprisoned for 3 to 5 years and a fine of lakhs of rupees. The special thing is that since the FIR is registered, Rana’s mobile phone is also being told off.
As soon as this video of Rana went viral on social media, anger erupted among the people. Many people described it as derogatory remarks against the female MP. Sunita Singh said in her complaint that Rana’s statement not only hurts Iqra Hasan’s dignity, but is also an attempt to spoil social harmony. The matter has now taken political color, and people are giving different reactions to it.
There has been no official statement from Rana since the FIR was registered. Due to his closure of his phone, there is speculation that he is trying to avoid the dispute. But this is not the first time Rana has come into the limelight due to his statements. Even before this, he has been in the headlines for controversial comments many times. It remains to be seen how the law does its work in this matter and how Rana deal with this dispute.
