Miley Cyrus‘ fans seem to think that a Hannah Montana comeback is on the horizon. With the Disney Channel classic turning 20 in 2026, Cyrus’ recent comments have fueled the speculation online. From nostalgic interviews to her Disney Legends honor, fans are convinced something big is brewing – maybe even a tour. Here’s what’s happening.

Is Miley Cyrus bringing Hannah Montana back?

Miley Cyrus, who shot to global fame as the teen pop icon Hannah Montana, recently opened up about the show’s lasting impact in a SiriusXM interview on July 22. Reflecting on the series ahead of its 20th anniversary, she said, “I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this. Without Hannah, there wouldn’t really be this me.”

The series, which aired in 2006 and starred Cyrus alongside Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, and Billy Ray Cyrus, helped launch her music career. It also gave fans unforgettable songs, platinum-selling soundtracks, and the blockbuster Best of Both Worlds Tour, which raked in over $54 million.

“I started as a character that I thought was going to be impossible to shed,” Cyrus said. “And now that’s something that when I walk into a space, it’s looked at as this sense of kind of, like, nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood. So, that’s exciting to get to celebrate that,” she added.

Despite the fan fervor, a full-blown Hannah Montana tour may not be on the cards. Cyrus has made her stance on touring clear in recent years. In a 2023 interview with British Vogueshe admitted that she no longer enjoys performing for massive crowds. “There’s no connection. There’s no safety. It’s so isolating,” she said. Her last world tour was the 2014 Bangerz Tour, and she hasn’t shown interest in returning to that scale of performance since.
