New Delhi. Central employees are eagerly waiting for the 8th Pay Commission. This time the most discussed fitment factor, HRA, TA and new basic salary. Especially Pay Level-6 means whose current basic salary is ₹ 35,400 (Grade Pay ₹ 4200), they want to know how much their salary will increase after new recommendations.
Although the government has not yet officially announced the 8th Pay Commission, a possible salary structure has been prepared on the basis of estimates. It includes the new fitment factor 1.92, HRA 30% (for X-Class cities), and TA according to Higher TPTA Slab.

Current Basic Pay: ₹ 35,400
Revised Basic Pay (1.92x): ₹ 67,968
HRA (30%): ₹ 20,390
TA (Higher TPTA): ₹ 3,600
Total Gross Salary: ₹ 91,958
NPS + CGHS Cut: ₹ 7,247 (Estimated)
Net Salary: ₹ 84,711
How much will be the benefit of increase?
If the existing salary is around ₹ 65,000- ₹ 70,000 with ₹ 35,400 basic, then the Net salary of ₹ 84,000+ will be a major relief following the possible recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission. That is, a net profit of about ₹ 14,000 to ₹ 17,000 can be found every month.
Noted things:
The dearness allowance (DA) will be merged into the new basic salary, so DA is currently considered 0%. This entire calculation is only based on estimates. The final salary will be detected only after the real recommendations come. House rent allowance (HRA) depends on the category of the city-X-class city (eg Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru etc.) is considered the basis here.
