Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore received an extension of NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation for five of its undergraduate programmes, valid until June 30, 2028.

This recognition reaffirms the institute’s commitment to maintain high academic standards and meet global quality benchmarks. The five accredited programmes are Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The accreditation will remain effective for academic sessions 2022-23 to 2027-28.

Dr Anjana Jain, NBA Coordinator and Prof Parakh led the accreditation process, overseeing the preparation of Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) and presenting comprehensive documentation during peer review.

Their leadership ensured a well-organised effort across all departments. Under the leadership of Prof Neetesh Purohit, Director of SGSITS the institute ensured thorough preparation and alignment with accreditation criteria.

Each department demonstrated exceptional strengths in different areas:

  • Electrical Engineering, led by Prof Sandeep Bhongade, showcased a strong implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and robust industry collaborations. Prof Bhongade stated, ‘Our focus has always been on producing graduates who meet industry demands while maintaining academic rigour.’

  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, under the leadership of Prof Rajesh Khatri, emphasised the use of modern control systems and instruments. Prof Khatri shared, ‘Our commitment to integrating advanced technologies in the curriculum ensures that our students are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.’

  • Information Technology, headed by Prof Sunita Verma has an exceptional track record in student placements, industry tie-ups and the integration of AI/ML into the curriculum. Prof Verma remarked, ‘Our department has always focused on blending technical skills with industry-relevant knowledge, equipping students for global opportunities.’

  • Mechanical Engineering, led by Prof Sudhir Tiwari demonstrated excellence in faculty development, research initiatives and meticulous documentation. Prof Tiwari noted, ‘Our department emphasises continuous improvement through research and teaching, enabling us to remain at the forefront of engineering education.’

  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, headed by Prof Satish Kumar Jain highlighted its advanced laboratory setups and ICT-enabled teaching methods. Prof Jain commented, ‘We believe in fostering a dynamic learning environment where students can innovate and showcase their projects effectively.’

Under the leadership of Prof Neetesh Purohit, Director of SGSITS the entire accreditation process was carefully managed. Prof Purohit stated, ‘This re-accreditation reflects the collective dedication of our faculty, staff and students.

Our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement remains unwavering.’ The extension of the NBA accreditation strengthens SGSITS’s position as a leading technical institution, preparing students for top-tier careers and global academic opportunities.
