Mumbai: “Nishaanchi,” Anurag Kashyap’s next crime drama film, will mark his directing comeback. The film’s first-look poster has been unveiled by the producers.

The first-look poster for the movie, which stars Zeeshan Ayyub, Monika Panwar, Vedika Pinto, Kumud Mishra, and debutante Aishvary Thackeray, was released by Amazon MGM Studios India on their Instagram account.

The poster’s depiction of money, a vehicle, handcuffs, and firearms suggests that the movie will show how several storylines cross, resulting in both chaos and enjoyment.

Anurag shared a promotional video for the film earlier in June to announce it. The trailer suggests that the story of two brothers will be the main focus of the movie.

In a press release, Anurag Kashyap spoke about his experience writing “Nishaanchi,” saying, “We wrote Nishaanchi in 2016.” Since then, I’ve been trying to make this movie the best it can be, and I was searching for a company that fully trusted me to achieve that. This is precisely what occurred to all of my well-liked pictures; they were supported by excellent studios and producers. The narrative of Nishaanchi is replete with unadulterated human emotions, including love, passion, power, crime and punishment, betrayal, redemption, and the fallout from all of these.

“To tell this story in the best way I could have hoped for, I have been incredibly fortunate to find a bunch of good people, excellent actors, and my most beautiful crew,” he said. When the movie opens in theaters in September, we can’t wait to show it to the public and share our excitement and anxiety.”

Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh are producing the criminal thriller under the Jar Pictures label in collaboration with Flip Films. On September 19, 2025, “Nishaanchi” is scheduled to open in theaters.
