Every day, crores of passengers travel by train in the country. Railways run a large number of trains for these passengers. Many people book their tickets themselves before traveling by train. Many times, if normal tickets are not available, then tickets have to be booked in Tatkal.

If you also book tickets in Tatkal, then this news is for you. Let us tell you that many rules have been changed by the Indian Railways regarding booking tickets in Tatkal. Under these rules, the limit of booking has also been fixed.

If you book tickets in Tatkal, then let us tell you that Aadhaar authentication has become necessary for this. That is, if your IRCTC account is not linked to Aadhaar. So you will not be able to book tickets. So now you will not be able to book Tatkal tickets more than a fixed limit.

Railways has now set a new limit for Tatkal ticket booking. That is, no person will now be able to book Tatkal tickets more than a fixed number of times. This rule has been brought especially for those users who repeatedly book many tickets in a fraudulent manner.

Let us tell you that according to the new rules of Railways, now any person will be able to book only two tickets in a day in Tatkal. Tatkal tickets of maximum 4 passengers can be booked on one ticket i.e. one PNR. Tickets can be booked for a maximum of 8 passengers on two tickets.

If you want to book tickets more than the oil limit, then you will have to use another account. Only then will you be able to book tickets. Or you will have to book tickets from the counter. Or you will have to book tickets from an authorized agent.

Let us tell you that these new rules of Railways have come into effect from 1 July 2025. So now when you think of booking Tatkal tickets. So first keep in mind these rules. Otherwise, you may have to face trouble.
