At the National Media Centre in New Delhi on Friday, the 71st National Film Awards winners were announced. Films that were released between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, and certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), were contending for the top honours in the respective categories.
The National Film Awards ceremony acknowledges and celebrates excellence in Indian cinema. At 4 PM today, the jury delivered the final report to Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan and Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw .
Shah Rukh Khan ('Jawan') and Vikrant Massey ('12th Fail') won in the Best Actor category, while Rani Mukerji bagged the Best Actress honour for 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.'
The winners' list also includes several names from the South Indian film industry .
