IGNOU Admission 2025: Many students wishing to take admission in higher education courses have not yet applied for admission, while many students have been deprived of applying due to the mandatory requirement of CUET. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) can prove to be a better option for such students.

In this episode, IGNOU has extended the date of application for admission in the July session 2025, under which applications can now be made for admission till 15 August. IGNOU conducts two sessions in a year for admission, which are called the July and January sessions.

The application can be done online.

IGNOU had earlier fixed July 31 as the last date to apply for admission in the July session. After this date has passed, IGNOU has decided to extend the date of application, under which interested students can apply online till 15 August. To apply, students have to apply by visiting IGNOU's official website, IGNOU Admission.

Apply for admission to more than 300 courses.

IGNOU conducts an admission process twice a year, under which students are admitted in July and January sessions. In both sessions, applications are invited by IGNOU for admission to more than 300 courses. IGNOU invites applications for admission in 48 graduation courses and 75 post-graduation courses. Along with this, IGNOU also runs many diploma, PG diploma, and certificate courses, in which one can also apply for admission.

Prior registration is necessary for the application.
The application process for admission in various courses of IGNOU is going on, under which applications can be made till 15th August, but direct application for admission cannot be made. IGNOU conducts the admission process in two phases. In the first phase, registration has to be done, while in the second phase, an application is made after completing other formalities for admission.
