She adds, “What a day it was for the team of Vash! Apart from my win, the film won the National Award for the Best Gujarati Film . It is unbelievable; I hadn’t thought even in my wildest dreams that this could happen! The entire team of Vash got together and we celebrated the win. It is a huge moment, and this will remain the most special day for all of us.”
‘Will be forever grateful to Krishnadev Yagnik & Abhishek’
Janki adds, “My family is overjoyed. My father was very confident that I would win a National Award for Vash, but I didn’t believe it then. My family members are in a festive mood (laughs)!”
Expressing her gratitude to Krishnadev Yagnik, the film’s director, she says, “I remain indebted to Krishnadev Yagnik, who is like a blessing in my life. I am also grateful to Abhishek (filmmaker), who cast me in Chhello Divas. I called him after the win and thanked him for giving me that break. Without Chhello Divas, Vash wouldn’t have happened, and I wouldn’t be here.”
