These documents are necessary before the application

If you want to apply for duplicate RC, then you have very important to have these documents. For example, if you have reported the missing RC in a police station, then the copy of the FIR, Form 26, the insurance certificate of the vehicle, the pollution under control i.e. PUC certificate, address proof like electricity bill, Aadhaar card or voter ID card.

Process of online application

First of all you have to visit the website of transport service.

After this, you have to select Vehicle- Services by visiting the online services tab on the home page.
Then select your state in the drop down list.
After this, click on the duplicate RC option from the options.
However, for this you have to register on the portal first. After which login with user ID and password.
Now submit the registration number of your car and the last 5 digits of the chassis number.
Now complete the Aadhaar based e-KYC process. Submit your Aadhaar number and generate OTP.
After submitting the OTP, feel all the eternal details in the given form and upload the document.
After completion of the application process, make payment of fixed fees online.

Visit RTO in last step

After the online application, you have to go to the RTO office near you. Apart from this, book an appointment in advance for physical verification of the vehicle. On the scheduled day, you reached the RTO with all your documents and print outs. After going there, after checking the document and inspection of the car, you will be released duplicate RC in a few days.
