Gurugram: Among young people, doing automobile stunts for views is getting more and more common. These stunts sometimes include risky maneuvers that increase the likelihood of accidents and injury, such as hanging out of moving cars or driving carelessly on public roadways.
Many people see such behavior as not just careless but also as a public annoyance or even harassment, which may result in legal repercussions. A recent instance occurred in Gurugram, when a convoy of around 22 cars attempted similar stunts and seriously disrupted traffic.
Traffic on the route that connects Sector 108 in Gurugram to the Dwarka Expressway was halted for a number of minutes on Sunday night, according to the the media, which cited police sources. A group of about two dozen cars, including a Mercedes-Benz SLC convertible, reportedly blocked the crossroads to record social media clips, causing the commotion.
Residents and commuters experienced significant inconvenience as a result of the disruption close to the high-rises Shobha City and Experion Heartsong.
A local citizen posted the incident’s footage on X, identifying the Gurugram Police in it. About 22 vehicles are seen in the video standing still on the road, including a Mercedes convertible, Toyota Fortuners, Mahindra Thars, Scorpios, and other hatchbacks.

Two males can be seen standing on the Mercedes’ seats with the top down in the footage. While the rest of the gang applauded from surrounding cars, some standing on footrests and some emerging from the sunroof, two males were seen shooting the scene.
The automobiles’ illegally installed sirens, according to the locals, were blasting nonstop.
However, a number of cars were seen in the film doing unlawful U-turns and running in the wrong way after the shot was over.
No official complaint has been made against the guys, according to HT. The incident was discovered on social media on Sunday evening, according to Sandeep Kumar, the public relations officer for the Gurugram police.
“The matter is being investigated, and the video has been forwarded to the concerned police station,” Kumar said. The neighborhood’s CCTV video is being used in an attempt to identify the offenders. The sports car and any other cars involved will be confiscated.
Five young people from Haryana were recently detained by the Uttarakhand Police for engaging in risky automobile stunts in a similar occurrence. All of the people were arrested, and the car was confiscated.
