Lucknow rabareli highway bypass: There is a great relief news for those traveling from Lucknow to Rae Bareli. The heavy jam on Chok points like Mohanlalganj and Bachhrawan on NH-30 is going to be freed soon. The government is now moving fast towards making bypasses on these two major locations, which will improve traffic flows on the highway and will get rid of wasteful delay.
The National Highway Authority (NHAI) has sent a proposal of this ambitious project to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. After getting approval from the ministry, the consultant agency will be selected first, which will prepare survey and detailed project report (DPR) for bypass.
According to NHAI report, more than 30,000 vehicles pass on NH-30 between Lucknow and Rae Bareli every day. The traffic passing through Mohanlalganj intersection comes from Maurawan, Gosaiganj, Lucknow and Rae Bareli. At the same time, the number of heavy vehicles coming from Lalganj and Maharajganj in Bachhrawan is also very high, although the flyover in Bachhrawan has already been formed, but the traffic pressure has now doubled. Many times the vehicles are not stuck in the jam for half an hour, not 10-15 minutes.
The highway from Lucknow to Nigohan may be fourlane, but due to heavy traffic, the vehicles are running at a speed of only 50 km/h. NHAI believes that if work on this bypass project does not start in time, traffic pressure can be even more serious in the coming years.
According to officials, if the plan proceeds with approval on time, the construction work of the bypass will be started from March 2026. The bypass route will be selected in such a way that it can also give better connectivity while bypassing the traffic and can ensure the journey without interruption on the highway for the next several decades.
