News Desk. Heavy rains in many districts of Uttar Pradesh have severely affected life. Especially in Prayagraj and Varanasi, a flood -like situation has been created, due to which the local administration has to take strict steps. In view of the safety of children and the seriousness of the situation, the District Magistrates have issued an order to temporarily close the schools.
School closed till 7 August in Prayagraj
In view of the intensity of rain and potential floods in Prayagraj district, the District Magistrate has directed all schools – government, government, private, ICSE and other boards to close Hindi and English medium schools – till 7 August 2025. This order will be applicable to all institutions from pre-primary to class 12.
The school administration has also been asked to complete the tasks like educational and departmental work such as DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), U-Dice Plus (educational data system). This decision has been implemented with immediate effect, so that children and teachers can be protected from any kind of untoward incident.
Schools will also be closed in Varanasi on August 6
At the same time, the situation in Varanasi also remains worrying. The school superintendent of the district on Monday informed that here too all educational institutions, whether they belong to any board (Basic Education Council, Secondary Education, CBSE, ICSE, Sanskrit Board), will remain closed on August 5 and 6. This decision has been taken as per the instructions of the District Magistrate and all the school heads have been instructed to strictly follow the order.
Administration preparations and precautions
The administration is constantly monitoring the situation. Rescue teams have been kept on alert and efforts are being made to deliver people living in low -lying areas to safe places. Given waterlogging and traffic obstacles, the decision of this school closure is a precautionary step to ensure the safety of children.
