Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Complaints of a large number of people were heard In the Jansunwai held at the collector’s office on Tuesday.

A time limit was fixed to address the complaints that were not resolved on the same day. In the Jansunwai, most of the applications pertained to land, property, family disputes, encroachment on private land, tenants’ occupation of houses and bicycle assistance to the disabled etc.

Additional collector Gaurav Benal heard the problems of the citizens and resolved them. An applicant mentioned that he had given his house on rent to a person two years ago, but the tenant was not paying rent for the past several months.

Benal directed the SDM of the area to investigate and take necessary action. Some residents of Qazi Palasia Panchayat had come with the problem of drainage in their area.

The additional collector told them that the PWD would build a road there and after widening it, would make a drain. There was another complaint about drainage from Jalodia Panchayat , for which the officer concerned was instructed on telephone to resolve the problem soon.

An applicant complained that his salary was not being paid by the employer institution. Benal instructed the officer of the labour department and the tehsildar of the area concerned to get the salary from that institution as per rules.

Additional Collector Roshan Rai and other departmental officers also heard the complaints of the people. Family disputes were sent to the mediation centre so that they could be easily resolved through mutual reconciliation and agreement.

Some applicants who needed financial assistance for treatment were given monetary aid from the Red Cross.
