But despite decent reviews and strong performances, the film has not picked up the pace that was expected. Facing tough competition from ‘Saiyaara’, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, and ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’, ‘Dhadak 2’ is struggling to rise above its steady run.
Day 5 collection: Rs 1.6 croreOn Tuesday, 5 August, ‘Dhadak 2’ earned Rs 1.6 crore at the Indian box office, taking its five-day total to Rs 14.35 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. Occupancy through the day showed a gradual rise, morning shows saw 13.70%, which increased to 28.60% in the afternoon, followed by 32.07% in the evening, and peaked at 42.50% during the night shows.


Tuesday offer: All tickets at Rs 99To bring more people into cinemas, the makers of ‘Dhadak 2’ launched a special offer for Tuesday, 5 August. Audiences could watch the film for just Rs 99 at theatres across the country. The production house announced the deal with a cheerful message on Instagram, “Ab har khushi mil jayegi! Witness the fight for love, this Tuesday starting at ₹99.” The move was aimed at boosting mid-week collections. Fans of Siddhant and Triptii appreciated the gesture, but the film’s numbers didn’t see a major rise because of it.


Box Office competitionBig competition at the box office is one reason ‘Dhadak 2’ is not soaring as expected. Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ earned Rs 2.50 crore on Tuesday, taking its five-day total to Rs 29.60 crore. ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ performed even better, collecting Rs 7.75 crore on the same day. Meanwhile, ‘Saiyaara’, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , also brought in Rs 2.5 crore on Tuesday, despite it being Day 19 of its release.
