Which all passengers have to follow. But there are some rules among these which are made for the convenience of passengers. During the night journey, everyone wants that they should not be disturbed while sleeping.

But when you are sleeping and TTE comes and asks for your ticket. In such a situation, not only sleep is disturbed but the mood is also spoiled. That is why a rule has been made in the Railways for ticket checking at night. TTE cannot check tickets after this time at night. Know your rights as a passenger.

After what time can TTE not check tickets?

According to railway rules, TTE cannot check tickets after 10 pm. This rule has been made keeping in mind the sleep and convenience of passengers traveling in sleeper and AC coaches. However, if a passenger boards the train in the middle of the journey, then the TTE is allowed to do the checking.

But harassing passengers after 10 pm without any solid reason is considered against the rules. If a TTE does this, then the passengers can complain about it on railway helpline 139. Overall, the railway has set this clear limit for a comfortable journey at night.

These rules are also applicable at night

Not only ticket checking by TTE, some other rules are also applicable in railways after 10 pm. Talking loudly, playing music on mobile or playing videos without headphones is prohibited unless there is an important reason. The main lights of the coach are switched off and only the necessary night lights are lit. In many trains, charging points are also closed from 11 pm to 5 am so that incidents like short circuit or fire can be prevented. The movement of cleaning staff is also almost stopped at night.
