Jane Pitt was known as a kind and nurturing figure who taught her family the values of faith, kindness, and appreciating life’s simple joys. She was married to William Alvin Pitt, a trucking executive, for 62 years. Together, they raised three children in Springfield, Missouri, including Brad. The couple largely avoided the limelight but were occasionally seen at major red carpet events to support their son, including the 2012 Oscars and the 2014 premiere of Unbroken, which was directed by Brad’s then-wife, Angelina Jolie.

Meanwhile, her passing was confirmed by the Pitt family on Wednesday. The loss of his mother comes at a difficult time for Brad, who has been facing an emotional estrangement from his six children. Following a 2016 plane incident involving allegations of abuse claims Brad has denied and was never charged for five of his six kids have distanced themselves from him. Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne have legally removed Pitt from their surnames, while Pax previously criticised Brad online. Only Knox still uses Jolie-Pitt.
On the other hand, Brad reportedly has little to no contact with his older children and only limited court-approved visits with the younger ones. Despite this, he remains hopeful for reconciliation, especially with twins Knox and Vivienne.
