"Fitment factor" plays an important role in government salary. According to reports, this factor can be kept at 2.57 in the 8th Pay Commission. This means that your current basic pay will be multiplied by 2.57, and after this the total gross pay will be decided.

If the current basic pay is 44,900, then with a fitment factor of 2.57 it can reach 1,28,414. From which it is clear that there will be a huge increase in the salary of Income Tax Inspector.

Not only the basic pay, but all the allowances received with it will also increase. Because all allowances like DA, HRA, TA are decided on the basis of percentage of basic pay. When the basic pay increases, the amount of allowances will also increase.
